My Story: I organized the IMPEACH COLORADO COALITION at http://ImpeachCO.com ............... The most progressive act possible is protecting the US Constitution and the Separation Of Powers. Stand up for the foundation document of our Country, our Constitution.-- We get our liberty and rights from the Constitution, not the Democrats or Republicans. We owe our allegiance to the Constitution, before any political party. If politicians place election or re-election over protecting the Constitution, the Separation Of Powers and our Rights, he or she is not fit to be in any public office. All take an Oath to Protect and Defend the Constitution against All Enemies including Domestic (Cheney & Bush). It is we the Citizens duty to pressure the politicians to do their duty to protect the Constitution by Impeachment. To rein in a power mad US Administration the voters last resort is Impeachment. Impeachment as a remedy to abuse of power is part of our body of law. If Nixon and Clinton could be impeached for far lesser crimes certainly so should Cheney and Bush. There is a bill in the US House by Rep. Kucinich ( H Res 333 ) to Impeach Vice President Cheney. Our current President and Vice President are the 'most impeachable' we've ever had the misfortune to have to endure. There are thousand of hours of video tape out there showing the lies about WMD and other evidence given to con Congress into approving the Iraq Invasion. The Administration's other crimes such refusing to obey or enforce US Laws in over 800 Presidential signing statements, warrantless spying, torture, and many others are well know and documented by the media. The Democratic Congress must be publicly pressured by Voters to use Congress's power of Impeachment to remove or cause Cheney or Bush to resign and to use Congress's power of the purse to stop the Iraq War and to bring our troops home NOW Impeaching 'only' Cheney is a terrific advantage for the Democrats. The Democratic Leadership in Congress wants Bush kept in office as long as possible to run against. Published accounts of Cheney's deceptions and exaggerations are legion. Any rational American who is not an obstructionist knows that Cheney manipulated and or exaggerated intelligence prior to the Iraq War. Every caring Voter knows Bush & Cheney have lied to Voters and Congress to invade a country that did not attack us. And we know that they did not attack the Country that did. The Saudis, the business partners of the Bush and Cheney Base of support, the US Oil Industry and the Military Contractors.
